The Phoenix Suns demonstrated increased effort and executed key plays, successfully breaking a three-game losing streak with a 110-100 victory over the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday. This match took place in front of a sold-out audience of 17,071 at Footprint Center, concluding a five-game NBA holiday schedule.

With this win, the Suns (15-14) avenged their previous defeat against the Nuggets, which had resulted in a significant 117-90 loss on Monday, marking their largest margin of defeat this season.

Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal each contributed 27 points, while Tyus Jones added 17 points to the scoreboard, allowing Phoenix to secure the win despite the absence of Devin Booker (left groin soreness), Grayson Allen (concussion protocol), and Bol Bol (left knee contusion).

Nikola Jokic led the Nuggets (16-12) with 25 points.

Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal each scored 27 points, leading the Phoenix Suns to a 110-100 victory over the Denver Nuggets, concluding the Christmas schedule on Wednesday.

In addition to the contributions from Durant and Beal, Tyus Jones added 17 points, while Monte Morris contributed 11 points off the bench.

For the Nuggets, Nikola Jokic scored 25 points, though he managed only three in the fourth quarter. Michael Porter Jr. added 22 points, Russell Westbrook provided 17 points from the bench, and Jamal Murray contributed 13 points. However, the Nuggets struggled to keep pace throughout the game, further hindered by the exit of forward Aaron Gordon due to calf tightness.

PHOENIX — In contrast to the previous two years, the Nuggets found themselves without the comforts of home this Christmas.

Having been removed from the mountains and placed in the desert, they struggled to establish any rhythm, ultimately succumbing to a 110-100 defeat against the Suns.

Bradley Beal and Kevin Durant showcased their scoring prowess, combining for 52 points with remarkable shooting accuracy from inside the arc, while Denver's offense faltered unexpectedly at Footprint Center. Following their 27-point defeat on Monday at Ball Arena, the Nuggets (16-12) committed 16 turnovers in the final game of the NBA's extensive holiday schedule.

Nikola Jokic was the leading scorer for the Nuggets with 25 points, yet he managed only 10 after the first quarter.

He started strong, with the Nuggets initiating their offense through Michael Porter Jr. for the initial five minutes. After Coach Malone called his first timeout, they isolated Jokic on the right wing, where he sank an 18-foot jumper, gaining momentum as he scored 15 points in the last 6:46 of the quarter on an impressive 6-of-7 shooting. He also contributed to putting Jusuf Nurkic in early foul trouble. Notably, he converted an and-one opportunity after receiving one of Russell Westbrook’s exceptional bounce passes, which he delivered around an unsuspecting Mason Plumlee.

However, the Suns were equally effective. On Monday, the 90 points they scored represented the fewest Denver had allowed all season. By the end of the first quarter on Wednesday, the Suns had already amassed 38 points, largely due to their 6-for-7 shooting from beyond the arc, as Denver provided them with open opportunities.
